I have been cycling for about month, I went from nothing at all at first, and now I usually do 10 miles one day, 10 miles another day, then a three mile ride. Is this a good schedule for me to train with? I’m trying to build my endurance for longer rides, so how quickly should I work my way up? Also, I am on flat concrete terrain all of the time, so what type of bike should i get for these long distance flat terrain rides? My birthday is in 1 month so i’m planning on getting a new bike, so yea what kind of bike should I get with what features?

I started cycling when i was 15 and when i threw my leg over the bike on the first week started putting out 10 mile rides, then every day i would add little bit longer and a little longer. I’m 16 now and ride from 30-35 miles a day and one ride one Sunday for bout 50 miles or so. so just keep working at it. And for a bike i would suggest a decent road bike with good components, its your choice go to a local bike shop get fitted to see which ones you like best.
im 15 but i think we are on different levels of riding
i race cat 3 in usac in road and cyclocross and im the youngest 3 in my state
but you should probably get a road bike something with drop bars skinny tyres and 10 speed components will be the best bet because something with 8 or 9 will be obsolete in a couple of years as 10 speed has been around since 2004
just keep riding your base miles which seems like 10 miles and then one or two days a week go for a longer ride like 20 miles or something
you will need to establish you goal and eventually work up to 75% of it until it is time to do the whole thing
You should gradually increase your training routine. As a 13 year old who yearly does the MS 150, I recommend increasing your routine a couple mile every week or so.
