First time cycling competition training?

I’m preparing for a triathlon competition for the first time. Swimming isn’t a big problem for me, but cycling do kills. It’s a sprinting triathlon and we need to cycle for 20km after 500m swim and last even is 3km run.

Is a month preparation is enough for my 20km cycling?
What kind of training should I go for?
How does it feels like for 20km cycling? Hard? I’m afraid I can’t complete the 3km run after it.

If there’s any triathlete here, please tell me more about this. Thank you!
Conor:
I do jog and swim often. One of the biggest problem is I don’t have the bicycle for racing use. Only very normal mountain bike.

actually you should start your training from now, you should start cycling more and a lot if you have time for it. jog and train running from now. but when are you going to start? i dont really think a month is enough. by the way, do your best

Although not a triathlete I do cycle.
A months preparation is not alot especially if you haven’t been cycling beforehand.
I would recommend alternating between endurance cycles (long distances) and sprint cycles were you really push yourself over a short distance.
They key to cycle training is in-taking the right amount of food and water and making sure to rest and not over exert yourself.
